The global COVID-19 pandemic has suddenly accelerated the need for organisations to transform and respond to an unprecedented change in customer behaviour and market risks.
In line with this, the Australian Government has facilitated the temporary introduction of COVID-19 related electronic transactions for financial services such as electronic mortgages, witnessing a document over video call and signing documents electronically.
AFIA, along with a coalition of associations, are actively advocating with the National Cabinet to make these changes permanent in order to streamline the lending process for members and save time, money and administrative burden associated with transaction processes for their customers.
By digitalising banking, mortgage and finance services, lending institutions can offer more digital and paperless transactions which in turn will allow them to develop economically efficient and streamlined processes, as well as promote growth and activity for the industry.
As a new financial services landscape takes shape, future-focused strategies and digital portfolios need to be re-assessed and re-prioritised. It is critical now more than ever that lending Institutions accelerate their digital transformations to remain relevant and capture opportunities or otherwise risk falling behind.
Join our Masterclass: E-transactions – Time to Go Digital, and gain actionable insights from an expert in the space – Deloitte - on:
